MID SANCTUARY IN THE EAST

5 Room Apartment I Bedok South Horizon

Let’s take a peak into this heady mix of colors, patterns and textures, a uniquely mid century inspired abode in the heartlands.

When we break ground on every project and begin to learn more about our clients, we often find that they are drawn to more than one design style. Although mixing styles can be intimidating, we love the way different layers of design bring an added dimension to a space. Whether you and your partner have different styles or you are drawn to multiple design influences, we’re of the mind that you shouldn’t have to choose just one!

Combining disparate elements and bringing them together, results in a carefully curated and thoughtful presentation. For the design brief, we tried to come up with a space that could breathe and didn’t feel too cramped and wasn’t too costly to build. Having wide and expansive original ceilings, clear pathways to the windows and an open living and kitchen plan contributed greatly to the spatial factor of the apartment. Bringing the outdoors in , with a carefully nurtured and thoughtful selection of live plants (homeowner’s prized collection) also adds much needed life and color to the backdrop. We introduced subtle ways of demarcation of space from entrance foyer, living , service balcony using different types of flooring. Lighting plays an intricate role in this abode with a statement pendant lamp for the dining space that grounds the look. There were also smart pops of color throughout the apartment from the quirky bathroom terrazzo tiles to the intricate Arabian statement rug , a perfect complement to the luxurious wood grains in the abode.
